Who it's for
Couples, mostly.
Ongoing couples work at the DC and Alexandria offices, and by telehealth throughout DC and Virginia.A good deal of my practice is people whose working lives run on precision and consequence — attorneys and physicians, engineers and scientists, founders and executives, people in technology and finance, and people in public life. Relational skill is a genuinely different capacity from the one that built your career, and in some respects the opposite one. It is not that you lack depth. It is that no one ever gave you anywhere to practice.
Discretion is assumed rather than requested.
Couples
Partners caught in a cycle they can both describe and neither can stop. Work here is not about learning to argue more fairly. It is about changing what happens between you when it matters most — and being able to feel that it changed.
Most couples do better with the longer session. Fifty minutes is often just enough time for two people to arrive and not quite enough for anything to change.
For couples who want more than an hour at a time, there are also intensives.
Fees for every format are on one page, stated plainly.
Begin with a conversation.
A free fifteen-minute consultation, by phone or video. You describe what brings you; I tell you honestly whether this is the right fit and what the work would look like. If I am not the right person for what you are carrying, I will gladly help you find someone who is. There is nothing to prepare.
Reaching out is the hard part. It is reasonable that it feels that way.
